On July 13, 2018, KARO IP and Yantai Intellectual Property Association hosted the seminar “IP in Europe” in Yantai, Shandong Province.
Mr. Athanassios-Andreas Stamatopoulos, former principal director at the European Patent Office (EPO), Mr. Matthias Rößler, LL.M., Partner of KARO IP, and Dr. Yingkun Brunner, China Desk/KARO IP, presented different topics about Intellectual Property in Europe. The event´s topics surrounded recent development at the European Patent Office (EPO), Faster Processing at the EPO, EU Trademark, Unitary Patent and Unified Patent Court, German Utility Model, CII Patenting before the EPO, EU Design Patent, etc. The successful seminar attracted more than 40 people; corporate IP legal professionals, head of corporate technologies and attorneys.
