Karl-Ulrich Braun-Dullaeus

Dr. Karl-Ulrich Braun-Dullaeus studied physics at Heidelberg University and earned his doctorate at the Max Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics. In addition to his work as a research assistant in tracer oceanography, he has also worked as a medical physicist in radiation therapy. These interdisciplinary positions form the technical basis for his work in intellectual property law.

Since being admitted as a German and European patent attorney, Dr. Braun-Dullaeus has been continuously active in patent law. He has decades of experience in representing national and international clients, particularly in complex patent litigation involving standard-essential patents.

The focus of his work has always been in the field of patent litigation. Dr. Braun-Dullaeus regularly acts in infringement and validity proceedings and thus has extensive experience before all national and European courts. Due to his special expertise, he has been recognized in the market for many years as a proven specialist in contentious patent proceedings.

On January 1, 2026, Dr. Braun-Dullaeus established himself as an independent attorney and now supports karo IP as a cooperation partner. He assists the firm in particular in contentious disputes with high technical and legal demands.
